Zynga preoccupata per il calo di utenti su Facebook

ZyngaNe abbiamo parlato anche noi, ne hanno parlato tutti i media, generalisti e non, Facebook sta perdendo utenti, è vero che il social network ha da poco toccato quota 700 milioni di iscritti, ma i nuovi utenti sono sempre di meno mese dopo mese.

Questo improvviso calo di iscrizioni non preoccupa i vertici di Facebook, che si dichiarano tutto sommato tranquilli, al contrario Zynga è molto preoccupata per questo fenomeno, la società teme fughe di massa dal social network numero uno del mondo.

Per Zynga un minor numero di iscritti significa meno giocatori e di conseguenza, meno soldi. La casa di Mark Pincus sta cercando di capire se c’è ancora spazio su Facebook, considerando anche che l’ultimo gioco lanciato, Empires & Aliens, non ha riscosso il successo sperato, almeno per il momento.

Zynga è il principale fornitore di giochi per Facebook, tra i titoli Zynga troviamo prodotti come Mafia Wars, Zynga Poker, CityVille, FarmVille e FrontierVille, giusto per citare giochi che tutti conoscono e che hanno provato almeno una volta.

Sicuramente Zynga continuerà a sviluppare giochi Facebook, il business model della società però è basato quasi interamente sui giochi per il social network di Mark Zuckerberg, probabilmente nei prossimi mesi l’azienda investirà anche in altri settori.

Quasi sicuramente Zynga inizierà a sviluppare massicciamente giochi per iPhone e smartphone Android, l’azienda ha lanciato recentemente giochi esclusivi per iOS come Hanging With Friends e Drop7, senza dimenticare CityVille Hometown annunciato proprio nella giornata di oggi.

Non esistono altri social network in grado di ospitare giochi complessi come quelli di Zynga, l’idea potrebbe essere quella di fondare una propria piattaforma social, operazione che però richiede tempo e denaro. Anche Playdom sta seriamente pensando di abbandonare Facebook e di pubblicare i propri titoli altrove.

La crisi di Facebook preoccupa le grandi case che hanno investito milioni di dollari sul social network, siamo certi che Zuckerberg e soci riusciranno a riportare la situazione alla normalità nel giro di pochi mesi.
