Dopo essere stata accusata di plagio per Dream Eights e Zynga Bingo, la casa di FarmVille viene citata in giudizio da Personalized Media Communications, azienda americana specializzata nella comunicazione digitale.

Personalized Media Communications accusa Zynga di aver infranto numerosi brevetti relativi alle tecnologie che permettono di “profilare” gli utenti, raccogliendo dati sulle attività in game e proponendo poi pubblicità mirata.

Nello specifico, secondo Personalized Media Communications Zynga starebbe usando illecitamente tecnologie proprietarie nei suoi giochi, e parliamo di brevetti che PMC detiene fin dal lontano 1995. Zynga è stata quindi citata in giudizio, i legali dell’azienda dovranno apparire di fronte alla Corte Federale dello stato del Texas.
