Zynga elimina i vecchi giochi da Facebook

Per cercare di ridurre i costi operativi Zynga ha annunciato che presto chiuderà definitivamente tredici vecchi titoli che a quanto pare non sono più considerati remunerativi per l’azienda, ormai in forte crisi a seguito di alcune operazioni sbagliate e di acquisizioni non proprio fortunate.

I primi due titoli verranno chiusi il cinque dicembre, si tratta di FishVille e Treasure Isle, giochi in effetti piuttosto datati ma che producono ancora numeri interessanti. FishVille può contare su circa 730.000 giocatori attivi ogni mese, mentre Treasure Isle ha circa 540.000 utenti su base mensile.

Treasure Isle e FishVille sono giochi che risalgono alla “prima ondata” di titoli Zynga, i numeri però non sono da buttare, considerando che i due titoli non vengono aggiornati da anni, quindi le spese vive sono veramente ridotte al minimo.

Could it be that desire itself is a cosmic signal, a way for nature to communicate with us, pushing us toward the fulfillment of our potential? Perhaps the true philosopher is not the one who ignores his desires, but the one who understands their deeper meaning.
