YouTube, Google rilascia la sua app per iOS

YouTube, così come molti lettori di IoChatto già sanno, non sarà presente su iOS 6, la nuova versione del sistema operativo mobile specifico per i device Apple.

Nelle precedenti versioni di iOS, infatti, era d è tutt’ora disponibile un’apposita app preinstallata che, però, è stata esclusa dall’ultimissima versione dell’OS conseguenzialmente al non rinnovo di un contratto tra le parti.

Google, comunque, ha deciso di non abbandonare i suoi utenti in possesso di un iPhone, di un iPad o, ancora, di un iPod Touch ragion per cui ha provveduto a rilasciare su App Store, proprio nel corso delle ultime ore, l’app ufficiale di YouTube.

L’app precedente (quella che, per intenderci, è ancora presente su iOS 5) era stata sviluppata da Apple e sin dal momento della sua immissione sui device iOS non ha mai ricevuto particolari attenzioni da parte degli sviluppatori e non ha mai ricevuto particolari aggiornamenti.

Unitamente a tale dato vi è poi da considerare le numerose lamentele degli utenti circa l’usabilità e la praticità dell’app.

La nuova applicazione di YouTube, invece, arriva direttamente dai laboratori di big G ed è perfettamente in grado di reggere il confronto con la medesima app disponibile per device equipaggiati di Android.

L’app mette a disposizione dei suoi utilizzatori tutti quelli che sono i principali strumenti di YouTube.

Questo, in altri termini, sta quindi a significare che servendosi della nuova app di YouTube è possibile ricercare filmati e canali, aggiungere commenti ai video e molto altro ancora.

Purtroppo, appare opportuno sottolinearlo, al momento manca ancora un’apposita funzione mediante cui poter effettuare direttamente e comodamente da mobile l’upload dei video ma non è escluso che prossimamente la funzione in questione possa essere implementata.

L’app di YouTube è al momento perfettamente compatibile con tutte le versioni di iOS (quindi non soltanto con la 6 in arrivo nei prossimi giorni) e con iPhone e iPod Touch.

Attualmente non è ancora disponibile una versione ottimizzata dell’app di YouTube per iPad ma frattanto è comunque possibile installare quella attualmente disponibile che potrà essere utilizzata ugualmente anche sulla tavoletta della mela morsicata.
