WolfQuest, l’alternativa a Second Life che ti fa vivere come un lupo

Se i metaversi sul genere di Second Life vi hanno stancato, se la vostra First Life vi annoia a tal punto da non sentire l’esigenza di crearvi anche “un doppio”, oppure se più semplicemente siete stufi di pagare soldi veri per esplorare mondi virtuali, allora WolfQuest è l’alternativa gratuita che fa per voi. Anche WolfQuest, proprio come la realtà virtuale di Second Life, è un simulatore di vita, solo che stavolta si tratta della vita di un lupo, che si evolve da cucciolo fino all’età adulta.

WolfQuest si presenta come un’interessante contaminazione fra metaverso, community, e gioco di ruolo. La grafica è molto accurata, e la simulazione, anzi l’immersione nella natura selvaggia sono tra le caratteristiche prevalenti di questo progetto, che non a caso è stato concepito come progetto educativo, con la collaborazione del Parco Naturale del Minnesota. Questa partnership è alla base del realismo dei paesaggi, e dell’azione, che ha come scopo ultimo la sopravvivenza, la conservazione della specie e la difesa del territorio. Tramite la community e il forum, il nostro avatar a quattro zampe potrà interagire con gli altri giocatori, formare un branco per andare a caccia, e anche trovare l’anima gemella con cui sfornare una bella cucciolata di lupacchiotti virtuali.

Il simulatore di WolfQuest è strutturato per episodi, a seconda dell’età del nostro lupo. Per adesso, è disponibile sul sito ufficiale solo il primo episodio, dove è possibile impersonare un giovane lupo di circa due anni. Toccherà a noi scegliere il colore del manto, la forma fisica e il sesso. Altri due episodi sono previsti durante l’anno, ed è in progetto anche un network associato al gioco, dove sarà possibile parlare di ecologia e di temi legati alla natura.

  18. I think everything composed was actually very logical. But, think on this, what if you were to create a killer post title? I am not saying your content is not solid., but suppose you added a title to maybe grab folk’s attention? I mean BLOG_TITLE is a little vanilla. You ought to glance at Yahoo’s front page and see how they create article headlines to get people to click. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to get people interested about what you’ve written. In my opinion, it might bring your website a little bit more interesting.
