Ci sono importanti novità che in questi giorni arrivano direttamente dal mondo Whatsapp, visto che ad inizio maggio abbiamo assistito all’addio ufficiale da parte di Koum, uno dei personaggi che ha dato il via a questa creatura come abbiamo avuto modo di osservare nel decennio appena trascorso.

Ecco a tal proposito quanto affermato da Koum al momento dell’addio del tutto inaspettato a Whatsapp, in attesa di capire come cambieranno le cose per lo sviluppo futuro della popolarissima app:

“È passato quasi un decennio da quando Brian e io abbiamo avviato WhatsApp, ed è stato un viaggio fantastico con alcune delle migliori persone. Ma è tempo per me di andare avanti. Ho avuto la fortuna di lavorare con un team così incredibilmente piccolo e di vedere come una folle quantità di focus può produrre un’app utilizzata da così tante persone in tutto il mondo.

Parto in un momento in cui le persone usano WhatsApp in più modi di quanto avrei potuto immaginare. Il team è più forte che mai e continuerà a fare cose incredibili. Mi sto prendendo un po ‘di tempo libero per fare cose che mi piacciono al di fuori della tecnologia, come la raccolta di rare Porsche raffreddate ad aria, il lavoro sulle mie macchine e il mio ultimo frisbee. E continuerò a tifare su WhatsApp, solo dall’esterno. Grazie a tutti coloro che hanno reso possibile questo viaggio”.

Occhi aperti, dunque, sperando che la questione non freni in alcun modo il potenziale di un’app amatissima anche dal pubblico italiano come Whatsapp dopo le notizie di inizio maggio.
