Whatsapp per Android ed iOS verso un nuovo aggiornamento: in arrivo le “storie”

Whatsapp continua ad essere una delle app più popolari per gli utenti Android ed iOS. Forse è per questo che sorprende poco l’indiscrezione secondo cui a breve anche questa piattaforma dovrebbe introdurre l’aggiornamento contenente le cosiddette “storie“.

Insomma, una mossa decisamente in linea con quanto avvenuto negli ultimi giorni con Facebook, a testimonianza del fatto che l’idea è di stare sempre al passo coi tempi. A seguire, per maggiori dettagli, vi lasciamo a quanto affermato proprio dal team Whatsapp:

“Sono passati solo otto anni da quando nel febbraio 2009 abbiamo iniziato a scrivere le prime righe di codice di quella che un giorno sarebbe diventata l’applicazione di WhatsApp. L’idea originale su cui si basava il progetto era quella di creare un’applicazione che ti permettesse di far sapere ai tuoi amici e ai tuoi contatti quello che stavi facendo. Tutto ciò, mesi prima che aggiungessimo le funzionalità di messaggistica.

Anche in seguito, quando abbiamo aggiunto la messaggistica nell’estate 2009, abbiamo mantenuto questa semplice funzione di uno stato “di solo testo”. Anno dopo anno, quando Brian ed io passavamo in rassegna i progetti su cui lavorare, ci siamo sempre detti che avremmo dovuto migliorare e sviluppare ulteriormente la funzione originale dello stato “di solo testo”.

Siamo entusiasti di annunciare che, in concomitanza con l’ottavo compleanno di WhatsApp il 24 febbraio, abbiamo reinventato la funzione dello stato. Da oggi infatti, inizieremo a distribuire un aggiornamento dello stato che ti permetterà di condividere immagini e video con i tuoi amici e contatti su WhatsApp in modo semplice e sicuro. Naturalmente, anche i tuoi aggiornamenti allo stato saranno protetti dalla crittografia end-to-end.

Proprio come otto anni fa, quando abbiamo iniziato WhatsApp, questa versione nuova e migliorata dello stato ti permetterà di tenere aggiornati i tuoi amici su WhatsApp in modo facile e divertente. Tutti noi di WhatsApp ci auguriamo che ti piaccia!”.

Impossibile prevedere quando sarà rilasciato il nuovo aggiornamento di Whatsapp per iPhone ed iPad con cui potremo toccare con mano le storie.
