Via al social network della “buone azioni”

Il suo nome sarà “Ifwerantheworld” e sarà strutturato come Google per raccogliere le cause sociali inattive nel mondo per trasformarle in obiettivi da perseguire.
A partire dalla corsa di Barack Obama alla Casa Bianca, trionfante con i 650.000.000 di dollari raccolti anche tramite le donazioni fatte on-line, uno studio ha dimostrato che la rete come aggregatore di tanti piccoli sforzi individuali, può raggiungere dei risultati importanti che all’apparenza sembrano impossibili. Il social network è ancora in fase di progettazione e potremmo tradurlo come “Se guidassimo il mondo…“. Il suo funzionamento è stato già ampiamente spiegato in anticipo da Wired: al login gli utenti si troveranno di fronte una pagina pulita di ricerca come quella di Google con il caposaldo “Se guidassi il mondo vorrei…” permettendo di inserire dopo i punti sospensivi il proprio pensiero per un mondo migliore. A tal punto grazie al motore di Google, verranno mostrate una serie di attività e siti istituzionali ai quali ognuno può accodarsi per raggiungere il proprio obiettivo.
L’idea nasce dalla Marketer Cindy Gallop che insieme al programmatore Wendell Davis sta sviluppando l’idea. I dati che provengono dal Center for the Digital Future della University of Southern California, vogliono il 75% degli iscritti ai social network, coinvolti in attività di volontariato. La Gallop ha dichiarato: “Troppo spesso gli strumenti forniti da social network come Facebook permettono alla gente di chiamarsi a raccolta, non di agire (…) invece Ifwerantheworld vuole divenire una realtà che mostrerà agli utenti il progresso delle proprie azioni”.
L’idea nata come no profit, si è trasformata poi in profit perchè il servizio servirà anche per dare utili servizi di sensibilizzazione della clientela e riguardo ciò Cindy ha detto: “Un’azienda potrebbe offrire premi o sconti a chi compie determinate azioni. È un meccanismo che fa bene a tutti: alla causa, che ottiene maggior sostegno, alla gente, che viene premiata, e al marchio, che si fa pubblicità”.
Quest’idea ha già un precedente in Canada di nome Akoha, dove la logica però è alquanto diversa, qui infatti si tratta di un gioco on-line dove ogni utente ha a disposizione un mazzo di carte (da cinque dollari) contenente le buone azioni da fare nella vita reale, e ad ogni colpo messo a segno si sale nella classifica on-line.
