Twitter miliardo di utenti

Evan Williams, Ex CEO di Twitter al lavoro per far crescere la sua creatura (Williams è uno dei co-fondatori del noto siti di microblogging), ha recentemente fatto un grande annuncio in occasione di un evento pubblico.

Williams ha dichiarato che il prossimo traguardo di Twitter è quello di raggiungere il miliardo di iscritti. Un obiettivo sicuramente ambizioso, che attualmente non è riuscito neanche al rivale Facebook.

Twitter ha recentemente battuto MySpace come numero di utenti ed è ora il secondo social network più popolato del mondo. Tuttavia, sono appena 200 milioni gli utenti iscritti (circa 160 quelli attivi), mentre Facebook può contare su un bacino di utenza pari a 500 milioni di persone (anche se gli account attivi dovrebbero essere circa 320 milioni).

Anche il sito di Mark Zuckerberg vuole raggiungere il miliardo di utenti, ma questo non avverrà prima di 5 o 6 anni, secondo le parole dello stesso Zuck. Vedremo cosa riuscirà a fare Twitter…

  38. After I originally commented I appear to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on each time a comment is added I recieve 4 emails with the exact same comment. Perhaps there is an easy method you can remove me from that service? Appreciate it.
