Oltre ad essere al centro di polemiche da parte delle star hollywoodiane che sembrano prima amarlo e poi odiarlo, il social network dell’uccellino, Twitter, ha ricevuto un’altra brutta tegola dai produttori di Hollywood.

Le case di produzione cinematografica, infatti, sembrano essere contrarie a questa mania dello star system di Hollywood, che vede come protagonisti tutti gli attori iscritti a Twitter. Quello che ha alimentato costantemento l’odio verso questo mezzo, non è stato però la diffusione della vita personale dei divi (gli ultimi esempi sono gli scatti intimi delle star), bensì la possibilità di divulgazione delle informazioni riservate sui nuovi film non ancora presentati al pubblico, che molto spesso vengono “spifferate” on line con i tweet.

Il servizio di microblogging è stato quindi duramente attaccato dall’industria cinematografica, seppur il mezzo in se, fosse completamente innocente. Per evitare di questi problemi, nelle nuove clausole dei contratti cinematografici, c’è anche quella del tipo: “Vietato l’uso di social network come Facebook o Twitter e l’uso di blog”. I primi ad essere colpiti da questo divieto sono Cameron Diaz e Mike Myers, impegnati per la realizzazione di un quarto episodio della serie di Shrek, prodotto dalla DreamWorks.

Da parte dei produttori esecutivi la risposta agli attacchi di limitazione per la libertà personale è stata molto semplice: “Da sempre Hollywood ha controllato quello che gli attori dicevano ai media. E questa è solo una nuova area della comunicazione su cui ancora non avevano messo le mani“. A fare scuola è stato il caso di Greg Grunberg, che come protagonista della serie nota Heroes, aveva “tweet-ato” on line molti particolari importanti e fondamentali sulle ultime puntate della terza stagione. I messaggi incriminati suonavano all’incirca così: “Dovrò salutare tutti quelli del cast perchè non so se il prossimo anno saremo ancora insieme”…alquanto comprensibile.

Staremo li a vedere se queste misure di protezione serviranno realmente oppure avremo una serie di attori-pseudo nomi che parleranno in incognito con amici e parenti.
