Twitter, uffici chiusi in Italia

L’annuncio era nell’aria già da qualche tempo a questa parte: Twitter ha deciso di chiudere gli uffici italiani. Come riporta Il Sole 24 Ore, i 16 dipendenti guidati dal country manager Salvatore Ippolito hanno già preparato le valige e sono in attesa di scoprire l’esito della trattativa sindacale avviata dall’azienda.

Considerando il fatto che il social network sta affrontando un periodo di profonda crisi e che è attualmente in corso un tentativo di ristrutturazione che comporterà il licenziamenti di numerosi dipendenti, la notizia non desta scalpore già di tanto.

L’eliminazione delle filiali internazionali consentirà al social network di risparmiare fondi importanti. Recenti indiscrezioni, infatti, parlavano anche della chiusura di altri uffici europei come quelli della Germania e dell’Olanda ma al momento la conferma è arrivata solamente per l’ufficio italiano.

Twitter intende dunque riorganizzarsi sebbene, allo stato attuale delle cose, il suo futuro appaia abbastanza incerto. Come noto, Twitter ha provato anche a mettersi in vendita ma al momento tutti i player potenzialmente interessati all’acquisto avrebbero fatto un passo indietro.

La situazione non piace per niente al mercato azionario dove la società continua a perdere capitalizzazione. Dallo scorso dicembre, le azioni di Twitter sono passate da 26 a 18 dollari. Nel frattempo, il social network sta valutando la vendita di Vine dopo averne annunciato la chiusura e sta anche tentando di buttarsi in più settori diversi nel tentativo di tornare a crescere.

Al momento non risultano disponibili ulteriori informazioni e non è ancora ben chiaro in che modo, di preciso si evolveranno le cose. Di sicuro non mancheranno ulteriori aggiornamenti durante i prossimi giorni.

  50. I believe everything said made a ton of sense. However, think on this, what if you wrote a catchier post
    title? I ain’t suggesting your content isn’t good, but what if you added a title
    that makes people desire more? I mean Twitter,
    uffici chiusi in Italia | IoChatto is a little boring. You ought to
    look at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they create news headlines to grab people
    to open the links. You might add a related video or a picture or two to grab readers excited about everything’ve got to
    say. In my opinion, it might make your website
    a little livelier.
