Le relazioni sentimentali degli utenti Twitter sono più brevi rispetto a quelle delle altre persone. Questa è la conclusione della ricerca portata avanti dal sito di dating online OkCupid. Di recente, il popolare sito di incontri ha pubblicato una statistica che riguarda le abitudini comportamentali degli iscritti, per un totale di 833.987 utenti, e le sorprese non sono mancate.

Secondo OkCupid le persone che usano Twitter ogni giorno tendono ad avere relazioni più brevi, e la situazione peggiora con l’età. Un normale ragazzo di 18 anni che usa Twitter regolarmente, ha rapporti che durano da un mese a nove mesi al massimo, contro la media di nove mesi e mezzo stabilita da chi non usa Twitter. Invece quando si superano i 50, la relazione, di solito, non supera i 15 mesi. Come si spiega tutto questo?

Dai dati raccolti da OkCupid viene fuori una curiosa connessione tra l’alta frequenza di Tweets e l’attività masturbatoria. Su 21.315 utenti che usano Twitter quotidianamente, la metà ha dichiarato di masturbarsi una o più volte al giorno (magari davanti al PC), scegliendo di “soddisfarsi da soli” invece di impiegare tempo ed energia a mantenere viva la passione nella coppia.

In conclusione, si può ipotizzare che la semplicità e la velocità di Twitter abbia condizionato anche il modo in cui portiamo avanti un rapporto sentimentale e sessuale, trasformando la relazione in qualcosa di semplice , rapido, e breve. Proprio come uno dei nostri tweets.
