Twitter non è solo la più famosa e utilizzata piattaforma di microblog. E’ anche il mezzo preferito dagli internauti per porre domande o cercare soluzioni ai problemi più disparati. Secondo InboxQ su Twitter vengono poste circa 3 milioni di domande ogni mese sugli argomenti più disparati: si va dalle richieste di supporto tecnico ai problemi di lavoro, ma si cercano anche buoni consigli su musica e film da andare a vedere.

Chi ha molti followers di solito tende a fare domande pubbliche, mentre chi ne ha pochi preferisce utilizzare i messaggi diretti. Ma anche se Twitter viene utilizzata come un servizio Q&A, che offre cioè la possibilità di inserire domande e ricevere risposte, InboxQ precisa che il 20-30% delle domande resta quasi sempre senza risposta.
