Tutorial: come tornare alla vecchia impostazione grafica di Facebook

Nota di aggiornamento: la tecnica è stata funzionante fino alla data 15/04/2009, giorno in cui l’aggiornamento degli script e degli applet utilizzati per Facebook sono stati cambiati e quindi non riconosciuti più da Greasemonkey.

Da quando Facebook ha modificato la propria home page ed il proprio profilo, i report e le statistiche riportano una delusione media di 50.000 delusi solo in Italia. Giunge questa voce dal gruppo “Ridateci il vecchio facebook, please“. Da come si può leggere in bacheca, il tradizionalismo italiano ha portato al dire che “non si capisce nulla” nei nuovi profili. La nota più dolente è la sparizione del collegamento dei Gruppi nella Home Page.
Vediamo oggi come poter tornare alla vecchia impostazione grafica del noto social network:

Come prerequisito bisogna aver installato Firefox, Greasmonkey e qualche script downloadabile.

Vediamo come tornare al vecchio stile:

Per prima cosa, chi non avesse installato Mozilla Firefox, scaricarlo ed installarlo dal seguente link:

http://www.mozilla-europe.org/it/firefox

Stessa procedura per Greasemonkey (che è uno script che installato consente ai browser come Firefox di riformattare il layout di pagina Web) quindi collegarsi al sito https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/file/30326/greasemonkey-0.8.20080609.0-fx.xpi e scaricare l’add-on.

In fine, per ultimare l’abilitazione del vecchio Facebook bisogna installare un javascript che è possibile scaricare dai seguenti indirizzi:

– http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/33638
– http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/33638.user.js

Alla chiusura di Firefox, noterete che quando viene riavviato riavrete il vostro Facebook…come vecchio.

Ovviamente questo script si può disabilitare cliccando sulla scimmietta che appare in basso a destra nel browser.

La procedura è testata e funzionante fino al momento della pubblicazione del post. In caso di successive modifiche agli script ed i mods di Facebook, non è garantito l’utilizzo a distanza di molto tempo.
