Tamar Weinberg

Suggerire la netiquette (modi di comportarsi on-line correttamente) nell’epoca del Web 2.0 sembra qualcosa di impossibile visti i milioni di utenti esperti e meno esperti che sono on-line, ma c’è una appassionata del Web 2.0, Tamar Weinberg, che non si è spaventata di promuovere questa guida dall’alto della sua  esperienza vissuta in Real Simple Magazine, Search Engine Roundtable, Lateral Action, Mashable e Lifehacker.
Le regole d’oro proposte dalla blogger, vogliono spingere (secondo la prefazione) ad imparare come gestire le relazioni sociali on-line. La guida si articola in 6 capitoli oltre prefazione e conclusioni e nello specifico si basa su Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, FriendFeed, YouTube e StubleUpon.
Il rapporto così amichevole che Tamar utilizza nella guida, rende piacevole la lettura e veramente utile per imparare qualcosa. Le domande che l’autrice pone dall’inizio sono basate intorno ad una prima domanda chiave: “Fareste ciò nella vita di tutti i giorni?”.
Seguono i quesiti:
Comportarvi con qualcuno come foste amici senza esservi neanche presentati?
Parlare invasivamente solo di voi stessi, fare dell’autopromozione, senza considerare minimamente chi vi sta intorno?
Avvicinare qualcuno che conoscete appena, con cui avete parlato si e no qualche volta, e chiedergli insistentemente dei favori?
Se le risposte a queste domande dovrebbero essere positive, consiglia la Weinberg che probabilmente necessitate di qualche consiglio specialistico anche nella vita reale, se invece avete risposto no, potrebbe essere utile leggere la sua guida per apportare migliorie nel Vostro rapporto con gli altri nell’utilizzo dei social network.
Interessante come esempio, è quello di Facebook, social network molto diffuso e soprattutto completo per capire dove spesso si “sbaglia” nelle nostre comunicazioni virtuali.
Le nozioni principali sulle azioni da evitare accuratamente sono (riporto traduzione):

  • L’aggiungere utenti come amici senza opportune presentazioni. Se state cercando amici, (almeno, ndB) dite alla gente chi siete. Non date per scontato che gli altri vi conoscano, specialmente tenendo presente che, in effetti, in linea di massima non vi conoscono.
  • L’abusare degli inviti generati dalle applicazioni che insistono ad invitare amici a partecipare a giochi ed altro. Molti, questa circostanza non esitano a chiamarla “spam”.
  • L’abusare degli inviti di gruppo. Se i vostri amici sono interessati, molto probabilmente si uniranno senza alcun “incoraggiamento”. E se non accettano, non inviate richieste di gruppo più di una volta via emali, tramite il wall posting o messaggi interni a Facebook.
  • L’abusare speculativamente della foto, pensando di guadagnar “punti” attraverso le connessioni di Facebook. Ringraziare è giusto ma non dovuto: Facebook riguarda la vera amicizia e non gli affari.
  • L’utilizzare un nome falso.
  • “Taggare” persone in foto poco opportune o compromettenti che potrebbero finire per costare a quelle persone molto caro, ad esempio rimettendoci il proprio lavoro.
  • Evitare i commenti inutili, specialmente su foto d’infanzia dove magari gli amici che avete “taggato” risultano goffi o ridicoli.

Il suo consiglio per chi volesse invece proporsi professionalmente e non come “cosa che contatta qualcuno” (vedi le aziende), è di utilizzare LinkedIn perchè è fatto proprio per quella tipologia di relazioni.

I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little vanilla. You ought to look at Yahoo’s home page and see how they createwrite post headlines to get viewers interested. You might add a related video or a related picture or two to get readers interested about what you’ve written. Just my opinion, it might bring your postsblog a little livelier.
