Su Facebook la morte dopo la vita

Come è possibile che un morto continui a vivere su Facebook? Ebbene, sembra che questi ultimi grazie agli algoritmi del social network riescano a rimanere in vita e soprattutto riescano anche a chattare tranquillamente con i propri amici del profilo virtuale. Nessuna macumba o nessun “miracolo” nascosto per avvalorare tutto ciò, semplicemente un utilizzo delle impostazioni di Facebook che grazie a qualche simpatico membro del team, fa si che superata una certa età, data per morte, faccia si che ancora si possa essere su Facebook.
A far partire le segnalazioni sull’evento sembra sia stato il caso di Courtney Purvin, un’insegnante di Plano nel Texas, che lo scorso mese ha ricevuto il promemoria di amicizia da parte di una sua amica di famiglia, che anni addietro aveva suonato in chiesa al suo matrimonio. Come è possibile questo se la persona in oggetto era morta il mese prima?


Meredith Chin, una portavoce di Facebook, ha dichiarato che: “È un tema delicato: vedere amici morti che chiedono di mettersi in contatto con te può essere doloroso. Date le dimensioni del sito e che la gente muore ogni giorno non saremo mai perfetti nell’evitare che succeda”. Infatti, questo problema solleva un punto fondamentale: Facebook sa tantissime cose della vita dei suoi utenti ma pochissimo può sapere di imprevisti ed avvenimenti gravi. E’ semplice parlare di compleanni, suggerimenti, occasioni e gusti, ma è difficile capire perchè un account non viene più aggiornato.
Fatto sta che fino a che l’utenza del social network era molto giovane era più difficile cadere in situazioni del genere (che senza offesa sono un po’ grottesche), ma ora che anche gli ultra settantenni hanno preso il pallino di Facebook, è sempre più difficile liberarsi dalle informazioni di Facebook anche se la persona non c’è più. Sarà cura del team tecnico del sito, realizzare qualche bot acchiappafantasmi per risolvere questo problema.
