Sean Parker, un nome un perchè. Questo nome è riconosciuto nell’ambito del web per una serie di progetti del calibro di Napster, Plaxo, ed anche di Facebook. Oggi però, lo troviamo di nuovo sulle scene non perchè abbia inventato qualcosa di nuovo da proporre ai navigatori del web, bensì perchè sembra che abbia donato ben 100 mila dollari per la causa di liberalizzazione di Marijuana nello Stato della California.

Su Facebook, la sua idea ha trovato tantissimi fans, al punto che come presidente del gruppo per la raccolta dei finanziamenti è riuscito a superare tantissimi gruppi di cause sociali anche più importanti.

Dopo la prima tornata di richesta fondi, si fece arrestare per possesso di cocaina, ma ad oggi, considerando che il giovane Sean ha delle parti in gioco sulle percentuali di Facebook (che fino a qualche annetto fa sembravano spiccioli, mentre oggi sono patrimonio importante), ha deciso di lanciare questa promozione per la marijuana. Cento mila dollari da lui messi a disposizione, più 70 mila quelli donati da Dustin Moskovitz, oltre tutto quello che i fans del gruppo stanno sommando ed ecco che si cercherà di finanziare la Proposition 19, per le attività della Drug Policy Alliance in California per l’uso della Marijuana non sono nei casi medici.
Chissà se il Governatore Schwarzenegger, stia seguendo la vicenda da vicino. Fatto sta che Facebook dal suo canto, sta rifiutando le interessanti proposte pubblicitarie di mettere in vetrina il gruppo, questo perchè sa che ben altro potrebbe accadere alle sorti del social network qualora qualche messaggio pubblicitario del genere arrivasse al giovane pubblico. Per completezza informativa, ricordiamo che Sean Parker, classe 1979 è passato proprio da Napster a Plaxo e poi a Facebook, ed oggi può vedere anche il suo personaggio, interpretato da Justin Timberlake nel film The Social Network ancora campione di incassi nelle sale degli Stati Uniti.
