Infatti una ricerca aveva rilevato come il traffico di Ning era sostanzialmente dovuto ai contenuti per adulti presenti sulla piattaforma. Ma da Gennaio anche Ning ha preso provvedimenti contro i contenuti a luci rosse, e così sono spuntati i primi social network esclusivamente dedicati all’erotismo, dove è possibile trattare ogni argomento legato al sesso.

Un esempio di adult social network è Zocku, che sulla scia di Ning consente agli utenti di creare uno spazio per costruire la propria community online. Zocku è sviluppato da SocialGo, che con Zocku segna il suo ingresso nei siti web per adulti. Naturalmente i membri di questo social porno possono creare i loro profili, blog e bacheche, condividere video, chattare, e utilizzare tutte le funzionalità comuni di social networking tramite i servizi previsti da Zocku, compresi i guadagni ricavati dalla pubblicità.

Attualmente ci sono già centinaia di social network per adulti costruiti su piattaforma Zocku, alcuni dei quali con oltre 30.000 iscritti.

Nonostante la censura, il futuro dei social network sembra sempre di più a luci rosse.
