La ricerca è stata pubblicata sulla prima pagina del New York Times e non lascia spazio a commenti personali: la vita dei cittadini americani è cambiata dall’avvento dei social network.

Un’inchiesta che parla di cosa è successo nella quotidianità dei cittadini degli States, da quando fenomeni come Facebook e MySpace, sono entrati a far parte del quotidiano di questi cittadini che tra hamburger e caffè, passavano le proprie giornate.

Si parla di abitudini e comportamenti completamente stravolti, non solo nei teenagers, bensì anche negli adulti ed in uomini d’affari.
A partire da prima mattina, si fa una specie di elenco delle cose che gli americani fanno, quindi risulta che nella classifica dell’appena svegli, il caffè e la colazione sono stati prepotentemente scalzati da un controllo dei nuovi messaggi su Facebook, da un giro su MySpace, da una rapida risposta a tutte le nuove e-mail e dalla consultazioned elle novità di Amazon.

Molti altri soggetti intervistati, hanno dichiarato che come prima cosa, al risveglio, vanno ad accendere il proprio netbook, il proprio iPhone o BlackBerry, magari prima di dare il bacio del buongiorno al proprio consorte o addirittura ai figli. Passa di moda quindi, l’avere un cane in casa che un tempo era il primo pensiero quotidiano degli americani. Oggi, invece di “uscire” per i bisogni del cane, si “entra” nel mondo virtuale dei social network per sapere se qualcuno ha pensato a noi durante la notte.

Questo dato ha di molto preoccupato gli psicologi americani, che si sentono pronti per intraprendere una sorta di studio su questi cittadini che sembrano “troppo presi” da questa nuova moda mediatica, al punto da tralasciare lavoro e famiglia, senza rendersi conto che si continuano a coltivare delle amicizie che molto spesso non sono nemmeno reali, ma rimangono un mero fatto quantitativo…anche se molti psicologi hanno confessato che anch’essi di prima mattina non riescono ad iniziare senza dare un occhio a Facebook.
