Social network e Università diventano Ustation

Il mix è tra Umedia, Telecom Italia e RadUni (Associazione degli Operatori Radiofonici Universitari), quello che ha dato il via al nuovo portale Ustation. Si tratta di un network che nasce per mettere in rete la riproduzione e la condivisione dei contenuti multimediali redatti nelle migliori università italiane, per portarli poi su LA7. L’iniziativa è partita tutta durante il Festival delle Radio Universitarie del 2009 e vuole arrivare alla realizzazione di un portale social dove tutti i relatori, docenti, studenti, collaboratori esterni, ed altro possono collaborare per mettere on line informazioni su sapere condiviso. Questo portale è un’iniziativa aperta a tutte le università d’Italia e consente l’inserimento dei materiali autonomamente previa iscrizione. Tutti i corsi di laurea e gli argomenti sono contemplati nel sito. La piattaforma è basata principalmente su tutti strumenti del Web 2.0 ed ha un importante canale per lo streaming. Inoltre l’area social network è completa a partire dai profili, i blog, la chat, ecc.
Gianluca Reale, amministratore unico di Umedia ha dichiarato che: “La costituzione di una rete di media universitari è il presupposto indispensabile di Ustation, su queste basi è possibile far emergere la ricchezza espressiva degli University Creative Contents (UCC), dei circuiti che li veicolano e degli studenti stessi che li originano. Il portale è il fulcro di questo progetto che all’inizio si configurerà come un aggregatore dei contenuti delle emittenti e dei singoli producer, mentre in una seconda fase darà vita, attraverso formati partecipativi e innovativi, a nuovi prodotti di comunicazione. La web company Umedia è il braccio operativo di RadUni e si propone di operare come interfaccia tra i circuiti creativi universitari di tipo bottom up e l’industria della comunicazione. Vogliamo svolgere una funzione di raccordo tra queste due realtà che hanno pochi punti di contatto e che hanno bisogno l’una dell’altra“.
La trasmissione di LA7 che ospiterà i contenuti è Universication che vuole essere un punto di incontro tra i contenuti mediali delle nuove tecnologie (Internet) e quelli delle vecchie tecnologie (TV).
Il portale è già on line all’indirizzo www.ustation.it ed è sempre pronto per essere arricchito dai contenuti delle Università italiane ed è in via di partenza per il tour di promozione che partira nei primi giorni di Giugno 2009.
