Sempre più suicidi organizzati sui social network

Una moda, una brutta moda che sempre più sta coinvolgendo il mondo del Web. E’ stata definita dalla stampa nazionale “l’ultima frontiera del social networking”. Parliamo di uomini, donne e ragazzi che si conoscono in chat perchè hanno un comune denominatore: l’essere aspiranti suicidi e sfruttare questa compatibilità per accompagnarsi alla morte l’un l’altro, seppur due estranei per il brivido di farlo.

Un caso recente di cronaca ci porta a comprendere questo campanello d’allarme che sempre più forte suona in tutto il mondo. In Inghilterra, nell’Essex, si è parlato di una coppia trovata morta in auto, sigillata e uccisa dai gas di scarico. Steve Lumbe di 35 anni, camionista di professione, ha guidato per oltre 300 Km per raggiungere la donna conosciuta sul social network Joanne Lee di 34 anni, che aveva pubblicato un annuncio sul web in un forum e sul suo profilo del social network, per cercare un “compagno con cui affrontare la fine”.
Il Daily Mail ha portato alla luce questa ricostruzione fatta dalla polizia inglese, dopo che c’è stato il ritrovamento del cadavere lunedi mattina in una Vauxhall Astra, trovata parcheggiata nella zona industriale. La giovane donna soffriva di disturbi alimentari e si leggono nei suoi post: “Non ho la forza di farlo da sola. Non sono un poliziotto, non sono un cannibale né un assassino, sono solo disperata. Lo voglio fare…il prima possibile”.

Queste le parole che vengono alla mente dopo che si sono trovati i due corpi in un auto piena di post-it con avvertimenti che li ci fosse materiale tossico. I genitori di lui, parlano delle tante ore passate al PC dal figlio, ma del non saper nulla di questa donna: “La polizia pensa che si siano conosciuti attraverso Internet. Ed è vero che nostro figlio stava ore al computer. Ma non c’era alcun segno di depressione, non ha mai parlato di suicidio. Era un caro ragazzo, siamo scioccati“.
