La società ha anche rilasciato una dichiarazione, affermando che “viste le recenti discussioni con le autorità e gli esperti di privacy, vogliamo chiarire che attualmente non abbiamo in programma di limitare le funzionalità e come funziona WhatsApp per coloro che non hanno ancora accettato l’aggiornamento. Continueremo a ricordare agli utenti di volta in volta l’aggiornamento, quando le persone scelgono di utilizzare funzionalità opzionali pertinenti”.
