Tutorial: come recuperare Username e Password dei propri account

Oggi vediamo come poter recuperare le password smarrite dei nostri IM client oppure del nostro account di social network.

Il metodo più comune per recuperare la propria password, è solitamente quello offerto dal servizio in questione. Nel caso dei social network, abbiamo ad esempio sotto i form di login, la option line “Hai dimenticato la password?” dove è possibile cliccarci sopra e seguire la procedura guidata mostrata dalla piattaforma.

Solitamente la procedura di recupero prevede l’inserimento di:

– Indirizzo e-mail di registrazione
– Username (nel caso in cui si sia dimenticata la password)
– Password (nel caso specifico in cui la ricerca sia per dimenticanza di username)
– Casella di controllo alfanumerica, dove appre un’immagine con all’interno un code generato casualmente per verificare l’autenticità del soggetto e che non si tratti di Spam.

In altre tipologie di recupero, ad esempio sui siti vecchio stile, c’era la possibilità di inserire una “domanda segreta” che il server richiedeva all’utente in caso di password smarrita e qualora venisse data la risposta corretta (a domande tipo: “Come si chiama il tuo animale domestico?” oppure “Qual’è il numero della tua cassetta postale?”, il server comunica l’ok per lo smistamento della password.

Generalmente a seguito di un recupero, la password viene inviata all’indirizzo di posta elettronica di registrazione e l’accesso è immediato, solo in rari casi, il server genera un e-mail di riassegnazione della password per far si che la password venga cambiata.

In entrambi i casi è necessario comunque conoscere l’indirizzo e-mail di registrazione e la password dello stesso.

In alcuni casi come quelli degli instant messaging, troviamo invece utili alcuni software commerciali che ci vengono incontro proprio per recuperare le password smarrite.

Nello specifico, oggi parliamo di Advanced IM Password Recovery.

Il software in questione che è disponibile in versione Basic e Premium (da 30 e 60 euro a seconda delle esigenze di recupero), va a recuperare una volta installato sul PC dove avviene solitamente l’accesso al client IM i dati personali protetti dell’utente.
Attualmente supporta oltre 70 IM diversi perchè sta tentando di diventare un software dall’utilizzo universale per il recupero password di Instant messaging.  Le versioni più attuali hanno visto anche l’aggiunta di network quali Skype, ICQ, mIRC, Yahoo! IM. Inoltre questo software permette di effettuare il backup in un file di tutti i dati personali degli account.

Per recuperare le password dei software client installabili su PC esistono anche tool gratuiti tipo: Messenger Key, MessenPass, RockMSN 4.0, scaricabili on-line.

Ricordiamo a fine tutorial che è illegale cercare di recuperare username e password di altri utenti.
