Il primo tweet inviato dalla vetta dell’Everest

Sul fatto che Twitter, il servizio di micro blogging per eccellenza, unitamente a tante altre risorse di social networking, venga utilizzato in ogni dove del pianeta Terra, almeno per quanto possibile, non vi è proprio alcun dubbio e a conferma di ciò ci ha ben pensato Kenton Cool, scalatore britannico di gran successo che, per primo, ha avuto l’onore di inviare un tweet direttamente dalla vetta del monte Everest.

Kenton Cool, infatti, a compimento della sua nona scalata della vetta più alta dell’intero globo ha voluto condividere con l’intero web o, per meglio intenderci, con l’intera utenza di Twitter, la gioia di raggiungere ancora una volta il difficoltoso obiettivo inviando il primo tweet dalla locazione in questione.

Il tweet, visionabile nello screenshot, recita Everest summit no 9! 1st tweet from the top of the world thakns to a weak 3G signal & the awesome Samsung Galaxy S2 hadset!

Tweet a parte, sino ad alcuni mesi addietro raggiungendo la vetta del monte Everest non sarebbe stato possibile attuare alcun tipo di comunicazione telematica a causa dell’assenza di una connessione 3G.

Invece, successivamente all’intervento dell’operatore di rete mobile Nepali Ncell, nell’ottobre del 2010 sono stati impiantanti ben otto ripetitori nel campo base dell’Everest grazie ai quali viene ora offerta la possibilità di instaurare comunicazioni anche dall’alta vetta… tweet incluso.

Oltre all’aiuto della Nepali Ncell, Kenton Cool ha potuto inviare il primo tweet dall’Everest anche grazie a Samsung che non ha perso occasione per pubblicizzare il Samsung Galaxy S II, il suo nuovo super smartphone di fascia alta, fornendo dunque allo scalatore il mezzo mediante cui inviare l’oramai celebre tweet.

Samsung ha inoltre realizzato un apposito video, visionabile di seguito, a testimonianza, oltre al tweet, dell’esperienza compiuta e, ovviamente, utilizzabile come valido mezzo pubblicitario mediante cui sponsorizzare il performante Samsung Galaxy S II.
