Ping: è già polemica per il social di Apple?

In un nostro pezzo di ieri, si parlava di Last.fm, uno dei social network per eccellenza in ambito musicale. Ad oggi però sembra che i cattivi rumors dell’economia stiano mettendo qualche zizzania nella news del network di Apple. La sfida sembra più rivolta a MySpace, ma Steve Jobs da quel di Cupertino, certifica che la sfida vera è nei confronti di Facebook e di Twitter. Il nuovo social network made in Apple conferma di chiamarsi Ping e si tratta di un social network musicale completamente legato ad iTunes 10.

Attraverso lo stesso iTunes si potrà infatti fare amicizia per similitudine di software scaricati (futuro prossimo) e musica ascoltata. Questa opportunità di socialize, viene offerta a ben 160 milioni di persone già iscritte ad iTunes nei 23 Paesi del Mondo coperti dal servizio.

Ovviamente una forte base musicale viene fornita anche dagli oltre 12 milioni di pezzi già disponibili sulla piagttaforma di Apple. Il download attuale secondo le stime è già di ben 11,7 miliardi di canzoni, più di 100 milioni di film e 35 milioni di eBook.

“Nel momento in cui le cattiverie dei rumors che parlano della fine della Apple filosofia, ma solo di Apple Business finiranno – ha dichiarato Jobs – riusciremo a lavorare per bene”.
