Il teologo napoletano, ha lanciato un appello, o a detta sua, un invito a tutti i ragazzi, ed ai giovani della rete. Egli ha invitato tutti “a non utilizzare per l’intero periodo di Natale Internet e social network se non per motivi di lavoro, soprattutto agli studenti e a quanti in questi giorno sono più liberi e non sanno cosa fare durante la giornata. Si invece a recuperare in questo tempo particolare le vere e reali amicizie, quelle reali, quelle instaurate con le persone che conosciamo o sono della nostra stessa città.

 

Non ha senso chattare con amici, parenti e conoscenti se siamo nello stesso palazzo, nella stessa strada, nello stesso rione e nella nostra stessa città. E’ addirittura un’assurdità se chattiamo con le persone che sono nella nostra stessa abitazione o palazzo. Cosa umana e giusta è che incontriamo le persone dal vivo perché il periodo natalizio non è un tempo di virtualità, ma di realtà, di concretizzazione di azione, di incontri veri, di servizio a chi effettivamente necessita del nostro aiuto e del nostro conforto“.

 
Questo appello diretto soprattutto ai giovani, è stato non molto gradito a tutti, che hanno deciso di creare addirittura un gruppo su Facebook di protesta sul “incontriamoci su Facebook a Natale”. Qui, tra i commenti della bacheca si leggono chiaramente segni di dissenso nei confronti di quanto detto da Padre Antonio Rungi.

 
Padre Rungi, nella sua lettera aperta dice: “Carissimi giovani, carissimi ragazzi e soprattutto voi bambini a Natale godetevi la famiglia, le amicizie, la natura, i tempi di incontro con i vostri amici veri in luoghi concreti e non solo su quelli del web. Il web come tutte le cose se usate in eccesso fanno male e creano dipendenza. Siamo liberi da questi che sono strumenti e non fini dell’esistenza umana e dei rapporti sociali.

 

In alternativa recuperiamo a Natale gli spazi veri dei nostri incontri, magari anche ad amici e persone che abbiamo conosciuto in rete“. Nascoste quindi sotto le parole di un parroco, le parole di una specie di paura di vedere assopiti dalla grande rete tanti giovani che in un futuro non molto prossimo – secondo il padre – non si incontreranno più dal vivo, ma solo tramite il web.
