Nuove minaccie e virus sempre più diffusi per Facebook

Nuovo worms sembra arrivare da Facebook celandosi sotto forma di e-mail inviata dal sito ma in effetti è una minaccia per gli utenti del sito.
Grazie a Websense è stata individuata la nuova minaccia che sembra provenire da Facebook. Dal sito ufficiale si legge l’avviso di Websense che riporta:

“Queste email sono molto simili a quelle originali di Facebook e invitano a vedere il ‘sexy’ video di una ragazza che balla. Se si clicca sul link (…) si viene rimandati a un sito maligno che assomiglia a quello di Facebook ma che in realtà installa sul pc un file chiamato Adobe_Player11.exe, difficilmente rilevabile dalla maggior parte degli antivirus sul mercato”.

Oltre Websense, anche Sophos ha segnalato un malware di Facebook dal nome in codice “Error Check System”. Questa mail ha bombardato milioni di utenti del noto social network indicando al suo interno problemi della visualizzazione presunti nei loro profili. Data la necessarietà dell’approvazione del team di Facebook prima dell’approvazione di un’applicazione, secondo gli espetti di Sophos, ancora molti sono gli utenti che si fidano di installare applicazioni sconosciute che hanno l’unico scopo di sottrarre informazioni personali agli utenti per scopro di lucro.
In proposito Walter Narisoni, Sales Engineer Manager di Sophos Italia ha dichiarato che:
“Le applicazioni di Facebook sono molto popolari e la tentazione di seguire l’esempio dei propri amici scaricando l’ultima applicazione in voga è irresistibile. L’installazione indiscriminata di applicazioni, però, può causare seri problemi di sicurezza, consentendo agli hacker di accedere al proprio profilo e alle informazioni che contiene. Analogamente a quanto avviene per altre applicazioni, è essenziale esercitare la massima prudenza se non si è certi della provenienza di un’applicazione. Il fatto che i propri amici l’abbiano scaricata, non vuol dire necessariamente che sia sicura”.

Attenzione quindi internauti accaniti di Facebook e delle nuove schermatine sui propri profili, le applicazioni di Facebook sono sempre certificate con il logo del social network, quindi diffidate dalle applicazioni che promettono di regalare vantaggi enormi da Facebook assolutamente gratis.
