Murdoch deciso a non acquistare nè vendere

Ebbene dopo una questione internazionale sollevata dai rumors di tutto il mondo sulle scelte economiche di Rupert Murdoch, finalmente esce fuori qualche novità sulle proprie scelte, direttamente dalla sua bocca. L’ambiente adatto per permettere un chiarimento ufficiale all’Amministratore delegato della News Corp. è stata la conferenza annuale di Media & Technology di Sun Valley. Qui, come tutti gli anni si è parlato dello stato attuale e soprattutto del futuro dei media per il pubblico.
Quest’anno tra le novità interessanti ad esempio c’è stata la Walt Disney, che ha puntato tutto sull’on line e sulla diffusione dei propri servizi a pagamento, o ancora qualche altra realtà come quella di Sling Media, che ha fatto una presenza “di abbattimento” alla conferenza definendo, tutti i discorsi sui media intrapresi negli ultimi due anni come chiacchiere.
Rupert Murdoch, già proprietario dal 2005 di MySpace, dopo una acquisizione lampo fatta anticipando tutti gli investitori del mondo sul successo che avrebbero avuto in seguito i social network e tutti i media sociali. Uomo che si è visto sorpassare da poco più di “quel ragazzino” di Mark Zuckerberg e che è stato costretto con la sua News Corp. a correre ai ripari ed effettuare forti tagli di oltre il 30% dello staff di MySpace.
Nelle battute di questa conferenza a Sun Valley, però, Rupert Murdoch ha deciso di mettere a tacere definitivamente i rumors che lo vogliono sulle tracce del social network Twitter. Sul servizio di Microblogging, egli ha dato la dichiarazione definitiva sul suo non interesse e sul suo sicuro non acquisto. Inoltre ha ribadito che egli non venderà MySpace, ma sarà invece ricco di novità per acquistare nuovamente il suo vecchio prestigio.
Ciò che ha sconvolto tutti è stata la critica a Facebook di Murdoch: “Facebook è come una semplice directory”, quindi di come fanno i soldi non è una questione pubblica.
