Oggi parliamo di un servizio Made in Italy. E’ un social network che da un paio d’anni, si è messo a disposizione degli utenti come interfaccia mediata tra il social network ed il microblog. Sembra una mediazione tra il noto Facebook ed il caro Twitter.

Meemi, permette ai propri iscritti di fare un aggiornamento in tempo reale del proprio status, inserendo testi, foto, link, audio e video. Questa condivisione avviene in libertà, con una pubblicazione del tutto simile a quella che siamo abituati ad utilizzare sugli altri social network.
Lo sviluppo di Meemi è basato sulla semplicità di Twitter, con l’eliminazione del vincolo dell’immissione di 140 caratteri, oltre che con le possibilità di publishing offerte da Facebook per le personalizzazioni e per le pubblicazioni.


Meemi di conseguenza è stato definito come un social network senza limitazioni. Molto basato sulla vita privata degli iscritti, esula dal classico atteggiamento di diventare portatore di news da riprendere per i media, gli aggiornamenti di status degli iscritti sono solitamente basati su sensazioni personali ed emozioni. Oltre all’interfaccia web, il social network dispone anche di una applicazione che funziona su iPhone.
