McLuhan e gli spazi digitali

Gli obiettivi di un tempo del mass mediologo tra i più noti, Marshall McLuhan, parlavano dell’importanza di quanto i singoli individui, nel mondo dei media non vengano trattati come individui passivi. Lo studioso del Canada, torna sulla bocca dei mass mediologi ed esperti del web, ad oggi, centenario della sua nascita, con l’importanza delle sue dichiarazioni legata anche al mondo dei social network.

L’idea di social network ha rivoluzionato il modo di vedere il rapporto tra utenti e media, subito dopo McLuhan, e quindi i nuovi McLuhan del futuro sono proprio coloro che si occupano delle attività del mondo dei social network. Questi uomini, arrivano dai suoi stessi studi, ma soprattutto sono legati a termini innovativi come quello di Net Generation. E proprio i nativi digitali, sono legati al concetto che il nuovo mezzo di comunicazione per eccellenza legato soprattutto all’infrastruttura tecnologica del web sia il social network.

Non si fa una distinzione della natura dei problemi, perché parliamo di advertising, di comunicazione, di gestione delle informazioni e di quanto altro, ma sicuramente a questi problemi spesso, con i social network si trovano le soluzioni.

Il cambio epocale del modo di vedere la generazione dei mass media, fa anche una forte leva sul tipo di vita preesistente. Il mutamento epocale avvenuto è principalmente legato alla caduta di tutte le gerarchie di potere. Con social network e blog, chiunque può avere il diritto di parola e non c’è sicuramente un maggiore ed un minore, ma oltre a questo, andiamo anche incontro all’handicap di una sempre minore attendibilità dei saperi. Il continuo ricorso alla ricerca di significati infondati, può essere poco proficuo per alcuni utenti che si trovano inbottigliati in fonti non certificate e soprattutto poco attendibili.

Quello che aiuta in questo ambito è proprio legato alla socialità, il fatto che se c’è chi sbaglia, c’è anche chi può essere pronto a correggere.
