Market Street

Avete sempre sognato di gestire un centro commerciale, ma vi mancano i fondi per iniziare? Nessun problema, per fortuna esiste Facebook. Market Street è il gioco che ha spopolato durante la calda estate 2010, al momento conta oltre nove milioni di giocatori attivi.

Niente piantine da curare, niente terreni da coltivare, Market Street vi mette nei panni del direttore di un centro commerciale. Il vostro scopo è quello di organizzare il negozio, gestire i dipendenti e vendere, vendere, vendere…

Market Street è sicuramente più complesso rispetto a giochi come FarmVille e FrontierVille. Gli aspetti manageriali sono più sviluppati e bisogna tenere sotto controllo un gran numero di attività. Ad esempio il reparto elettronica deve essere gestito in modo diverso rispetto al reparto abbigliamento. Sta a voi mettere in atto la strategia più adatta per generare vendite stratosferiche. Oltretutto bisogna anche trovare i soldi per pagare dipendenti e fornitori alla fine del mese.

Il gioco propone una serie di compiti da portare a termine in un tempo prestabilito, per guadagnare soldi e salire di livello. Il proprio personaggio infatti si sviluppa e cresce, come in un gioco di ruolo. Se siamo in difficoltà, possiamo chiamare a raccolta i nostri amici e sviluppare una rete di vendita ancora più grande e meglio organizzata rispetto al nostro piccolo negozietto.

Market Street è sicuramente un gioco ben curato e molto divertente, che si discosta in parte dalle meccaniche dei classici giochi di Facebook. Per esempio, la personalizzazione è molto limitata, il nostro personaggio non può essere personalizzato in alcun modo, l’unica cosa che possiamo fare è scegliere il colore della maglietta dei commessi.

Anche la grafica non è eccelsa, scordatevi i colori allegri di FarmVille, in Market Street dominano grigio e nero. Niente di preoccupante, intendiamoci, si tratta però di una scelta controcorrente, che ha comunque dato i suoi frutti.

Non è un gioco immediato, richiede tempo per essere padroneggiato, ma Market Street può dare grandi soddisfazioni ai giocatori più accaniti.

I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
