Le notizie positive fioccano sotto Natale anche su Facebook. Il noto Social network infatti, è divenuto una fonte di speranza per i malati terminali in lista d’attesa er un trapianto. Tutto parte dal profilo, speranzoso nel web di trovare qualche persona che sia disposta ad un trapianto. I primi casi che sono stati resi noti riguardano bambini che cercano “midollo e sangue”.
Questa caratteristica della globalità di Internet, nasce infatti già anni fa con il diffondersi della posta elettronica e le note “Catene di Sant’Antonio”, possibilità divenuta alquanto speculativa a lungo andare. Secondo gli esperti e secondo il quotidiano Inglese “The Guardian”, le possibilità offerte da Facebook sono di gran lunga maggiori a quelle fino ad ora utilizzate. I casi belli che racconta il giornale parlano di ” Iona Stratton, una bimba che si è ammalata di leucemia a sole 13 settimane di vita. Lo scorso ottobre la famiglia aveva lanciato un appello, alla caccia di donatori proprio su Facebook. E dopo poche settimane, e oltre 7.000 contatti, era stato trovato anche un candidato nella lontana Australia.”
