Induzione alla prostituzione: l’allarme giunge dall’America

Scenario dello scandalo on-line questa volta è MySpace. Il protagonista Jamaal Watkins, americano, è stato colto in flagrante ed accusato immediatamente di induzione alla prostituzione nei confronti di una ragazzina sedicenne conosciuta e raggirata su MySpace circa dieci settimane prima. La scelta della vittima, suppongono gli inquirenti, sia stata fatta perchè sul profilo della sedicente sedicenne erano mostrate delle foto alquanto particolari (definite nel rapporto “compromettenti”).
Watkins nell’adescare la ragazzina le ha promesso all’inizio amore eterno, fino all’arrivo del primo incontro ufficiale, dove ha chiesto senza remore alla giovane di divenire ufficialmente una prostituta offrendole soldi facili su incontri già organizzati e pianificati per le successive 2 settimane.
L’arresto è stato fatto mentre Watkins stava tatuando sul braccio della ragazza il nome della gang del quale lui faceva parte.
Secondo le indagini, la ragazza ha avuto 11 incontri a sfondo sessuale organizzati dal suo protettore in date da classificarsi tra il giorno 11 Novembre 2008 ed il 02 Gennaio del 2009. I soldi “facili” guadagnati sono stati utilizzati – secondo Jamaal – per comprare alla ragazza abiti e cibo per tenerla in casa sua, aggiungendo al reato di induzione alla prostituzione e sfruttamento dei minori, quello di segregazione.
Il poliziotto di Los Angeles Shaun King, che ha curato l’operazione, ha dichiarato che gli adescaggi on-line sono sempre più frequenti e seppur le autorità cercano di fare il massimo per evitare questo, l’utilizzo dei social network sta facendo aumentare esponenzialmente i malviventi.
Le ragazzine adescate solitamente sono quelle definite della “middle class” perchè sono sempre in cerca di un tenore di vita più alto come la maggior parte delle loro coetanee. I “papponi” invece, sono dei veri e propri manager di profili che riescono a fare una pubblicità ad hoc per le proprie protette su tutti i più noti social network, facendole credere ragazze maggiorenni per evitare la demotivazione dei clienti perseguibili.
Il problema maggiore – rileva King – è che la maggior parte delle ragazzine adescate, una volta entrate nel giro della prostituzione, difficilmente riescono ad uscire fuori dal tunner perchè vengono comunque tatuate e marchiate in qualche modo per far si che per tutta la vita rimangano legate al loro protettore.

You might add a video or a related pic or two to get readers interested about what you’ve written. Just my opinion, it could bring your postsblog a little livelier.
