Tutto è nato dai social network, oppure ancora prima dai siti che diffondevano piccole applicazioni per giocare on line anche senza una community di base. Con l’avvento di Facebook, però qualcosa è cambiato. Le attività ludiche sono alla base delle interazioni anche sul web, tanto che si diventa non più amici di forum (come una volta), ma nemici/amici di social game.
Ma capiamo bene cos’è questo fenomeno. Questo nuovo intrattenimento videoludico on line, avrebbe dalla sua il vantaggio di non acquistare costose consolle per giocare, ma semplicemente basandosi sul proprio PC e sulla propria connessione ad Internet (previa iscrizione al network), di giocare in santa pace.


Facebook ha dato spazio al più noto social game del web, che ha spodestato il predominio di FlashGames. Parliamo di Farmville. La vita dell’agricoltore, che tanto sembravano odiare i giovani, ha riscosso invece un successo molto importante sul web al punto che ad oggi non si può più parlare di “braccia tolte all’agricoltura“, che i giovani subito possono risponderti: “ma se io ho una fattoria intera su Farmville”.
La Zynga ha trovato quindi la sua miniera d’oro con il gioco che già nel 2009 vedeva oltre 82.700.000 utenti attivi ogni mese. Oltre a questo l’introito pubblicitario e le opzioni acquistabili a pagamento hanno reso il business.
Qualcosa però sta cambiando…i rumors parlano di un fine 2010 pieno di novità in questo campo, perchè molte multinazionali compreso il business, stanno mettendo su rifornimenti per far man passa di tutto quello che potrebbe essere l’innovazione del videoludico sul web.

In attesa del 3.0, una considerazione però va fatta. Quello che sta accadendo con il rapporto social network e social gaming è un chiaro segnale di come il web sta diventando una evoluzione così costante che nemmeno più gli esperti di marketing riescono a cogliere…il problema potrebbe nascere quando anche gli utenti non riusciranno più a stare dietro all’innovazione così rapidamente.
