Il libro: Ecco la veria storia di Facebook

E’ arrivato il momento della verità, e come sempre quest’ultima viene racchiusa nell’ennesimo libro che parla di social network e nel caso specifico di Facebook. Da oltre 4 mesi si parla di questa uscita negli Stati Uniti della biografia che dalla pubblicità iniziale ha messo nella mente degli americani lo slogan: “Il libro che sta facendo tremare Facebook”.

Viene definito come la vera storia dell’ormai multi miliardario Mark Zuckerberg (che secondo Forbes ha un patrimonio personale di oltre 1 miliardo e mezzo di dollari), l’ex studente di Harvard ed inventore del social network più famoso al mondo: Facebook.
Il libro: “Accidental billionairs. The founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal” (edizione Doubleday, pagine totali 227), ha fatto si che anche Kevin Spacey ha messo già le mani sui diritti del libro per un film. Nella trama ci sarebbe tutto ciò che risulta utile ad un film: il sesso, la droga e le donne, oltre che soldi, programmatori ed archivi segreti della polizia di stato americana.

Questo libro che potrebbe essere un vero e proprio thriller, si presenta però al grande pubblico come una rivelazione, ciò che tutti sanno di facciata ma che nessuno ha mai scoperto dall’interno.
A scrivere, il giornalista Ben Mezrich (anche lui ex allievo di Harvard) che ha deciso di far “tremare” l’ex compagno Zuckerberg. Mezrich, parlando di sesso, riporta: “La cosa che avrebbe spinto al successo questo social network era la stessa che dominava la vita nel college: il sesso. Anche ad Harvard, la più esclusiva scuola al mondo, tutto girava attorno al sesso. Che si riuscisse a farlo oppure no”.

A partire dalla propria preparazione come programmatori, Zuckerberg e l’amico Eduardo Saverin, anche se imbranatissimi con le ragazze, misero a punto questo servizio che secondo le parole di Mezrich era degno di “furti di foto personali dai computer delle studentesse con tecniche di hacking fatta da due smanettoni arrapati”. Tutte queste foto venivano inizialmente messe in una classifica di bellezza chiamata FaceSmash e diffusa al Campus.
Il sito, portato avanti dai diciottenni “in calore”, cominciò a crescere in volume. Secondo le rivelazioni di ABC News: “Partendo dall’assunto che Facebook è nato per portare a letto le ragazze, si dilunga nel racconto di festini con modelle di Victoria’s Secret e scorribande sessuali nei bagni maschili”.
