Uno tra i software multimediali on line più usato negli ultimi tempi è sicuramente iTunes. Probabilmente a partire da una diffusione molto ampia dell’iPhone, oppure all’ascolto di musica in digitale sugli iPod, iTunes è diventato molto popolare ed usato. A breve sarà disponibile la versione 9.0 del programma e già dalle prime notizie derivanti dai soliti rumors molto vicini a casa Apple, si parla di aggiunta di applicazioni importanti per questa relase che dovrebbe essere disponibile per i primi mesi del nuovo anno.

Tra le fonti più note, ci sono Apple Insider che ha parlato per bocca dei rumors ed Boy Genius Report, che invece ha parlato per qualcuno molto vicino ad Apple che non si sbilancia tanto.
Gli add-on in causa, sarebbero relativi al supporto per i dischi Blu-Ray ed alla nuova gestione delle applicazioni per l’iPhone, completamente dedicate al mondo del social networking. Dettagli importanti su questi sviluppi, parlano di potenti integrazioni e possibilità date agli utilizzatori dei più comuni social network come Facebook, l’uccellino Twitter e Last.fm, che si occupa di musica on line.

Le novità lanciate nel campo “applicativo” del software, tratterebbero il modo in cui si può semplificare la sincronizzazione tra personal computer e dispositivo mobile (che sia iPhone o iPod Touch).
Per avere notizie più sicure (oserei dire certe) dalla casa di Cupertino, ci toccherà, però, attendere il mese di Settembre del 2009, quando la Apple, come di consuetudine, dedicherà un evento annuale al mondo dell’iPhone e dell’iPod. Qui verranno messe tutte le carte in tavola, ed avremo quindi la certezza di queste integrazioni sui dispositivi mobili.

I programmatori della casa con la mela, stanno cercando in ogni modo di arrivare prima degli altri nel settore dei social network (soprattutto prima di BlackBerry, che da molto ambisce a prendere pieno dominio del campo), vista la possibilità offerta di continua crescita di utenza nel mondo delle reti sociali.
