Con forza e determinazione, i social network sono entrati nella vita di tutti noi…purtroppo non solo nella vita diurna, ma anche in quella notturna. Fatto sta che dal loro uso, sembra che giovani e giovanissimi stiano cambiando le proprie abitudini nel sonno. Uno studio svoltosi in Piemonte, presso il dipartimento di NeuroScienza di Roberto Mutani, nel reparto dedicato alla medicina del sonno delle Molinette di Torino ha diffuso infatti dati preoccupanti.

Il responsabile dell’indagine, ha studiato ben 1.500 persone attraverso il dottor Alessandro Cicolin, dirigente del centro stesso. Secondo i dati, la fascia più sensibile all’intrattenimento da social network, sarebbe quella dei giovanissimi, che vedrebbero un disturbo molto pericoloso sulla sensibilità del sonno degli adolescenti.

Questa difficoltà nell’addormentarsi, sarebbe stata maggiore nei giovani che vanno dai 15 fino ai 19 anni. Qui, fascia in cui parliamo del ben 28% del totale, notiamo che con enorme difficoltà, si attendono fino a 1,5 – 2 ore prima di riuscire a dormire dallo spegnimento del PC.
La situazione è diversa per gli adulti che soffrono già di mancanza di sonno per altre motivazioni. L’attività on line sui social network renderebbe difficile il sonno soprattutto per il continuo sollecito da parte del cervello che col tempo potrebbe creare problemi di salute. Ricordiamo che già alcuni mesi fa, anche l’iPad di Apple aveva avuto queste critiche perchè in molti se lo portavano nel letto.
