Guai in arrivo per i gemelli Cameron e Tyler Winklevoss, che qualche tempo fa hanno trascinato in tribunale Mark Zuckerberg chiedendogli i danni per aver plagiato loro l’idea del social network più famoso al mondo, cioè Facebook. Infatti di recente proprio i Winklevoss sono stati querelati da Wayne Chang, un imprenditore che in passato aveva collaborato con i due gemelli al social network ConnectU, e che adesso rivendica una fetta dei guadagni.

Una bella grana per i Winklevoss, anche perché la querela è arrivata poco dopo le voci sulla decisione dei gemelli di rinegoziare l’accordo di risarcimento con Zuckerberg, fissato a 65 milioni di dollari.

A sostenere la tesi di una nuova causa contro Facebook, sono le dichiarazioni in cui i Winklevoss affermano che Mark Zuckerberg li ha ingannati circa il valore reale delle azioni del network. Infatti al momento della transazione, le azioni di Facebook hanno registrato un considerevole aumento, tanto da far lievitare il risarcimento stimato a 140 milioni di dollari, quasi il doppio della cifra pattuita in precedenza.

Ma Cameron e Tyler Winklevoss negano che si tratti solo di una questione di denaro: alla base ci sarebbe solo un forte desiderio di fare chiarezza sulla proprietà dell’idea di Facebook e sull’importanza del loro contributo alla nascita del network.

Ma oggi la querela di Wayne Chang potrebbe mettere in discussione la crociata contro Facebook portata avanti dai gemelli Winklevoss, e allontanare la possibilità di una vittoria. Se Cameron e Tyler Winklevoss annullano l’accordo, corrono il rischio di perdere tutto, solo per ottenere un risarcimento più alto.
