Google Me pronto a sfidare Facebook?

Secondo quanto è stato dichiarato da Kevin Rose, il fondatore di Digg, tramite un tweet, il colosso del search engine Google, starebbe per lanciare (dopo il fallimento di Buzz), un nuovo servizio di sociel network che si chiamerebbe Google Me, e che secondo Rose, sarebbe molto affidabile.

I dettagli ovviamente non si conoscono, ma fatto sta che questa nuova “creatura”, sarebbe pronta a scommettere di portarsi a casa il bottino degli oltre 400 milioni di utenti, e tornare a mettere in discussione il primato del sito di Mark Zuckerberg. Il vocio, corre sul web già da tanto e non possiamo nemmeno dire che Google non ci abbia provato in precedenza (seppur con pochi risultati) tramite Google Profiles, Orkut, Gmail e Buzz.
A parlare questa volta è anche Brad McCarty, autore di The Next Web, che smezza le aspettative di Google, parlando di un network che se realmente fatto bene, darebbe al massimo un potenziale di utenza di 200 milioni in tutto il mondo. Ma i pareri sull’idea di Mountain View sono arrivati un po’ da tutto il mondo del web, ad esempio anche Chris Saad, vicepresidente della divisione Strategy di EchoEnabled ha dichiarato che Google Me, potrebbe essere un ottimo add on delle funzionalità di Google Profiles e non di più.

Fatto sta che anche di Rick Klau, lo sviluppatore di Google Buzz, è stato spostato di recente nel team di Google Profiles.
