Google e Facebook: la guerra infinita

Ancora un nuovo colpo a base di dichiarazioni sulla stampa, quello lanciato da Google nei confronti di Facebook. La guerra infinita tra i due colossi del web sembra non avere fine e su questo giornalisti ed analisti ci stanno marciando un bel po’. Soprattutto negli ultimi periodi, i quotidiani e le riviste di settore stanno creando una sorta di pensiero diffuso che il social network possa completamente battere il team del motore di ricerca su tutti i fronti.
Google però non è da meno ed oltre a fare gli scongiuri, da certezze della propria presenza: “Facebook non è una minaccia diretta“. Questo perchè secondo quelli di Google, essere forti solo nel social networking non basta, visto che quest’ultimo è solo una parte di una strategia più complessa che è l’intero mondo del web.


Google ha altre idee, non la competizione diretta. La sua idea si chiama cloud computing, interazione con il mobile, anche social network, e continuare a lavorare nelle ricerche, oltre che investire nell’energia. Nulla di vero quindi ciò che è dichiarato dalla stampa. Secondo Patrick Pichette, il Google Chief Financial Officer, Facebook è solo un capitolo di un libro intero che è il web. Queste dichiarazioni fatte alla TV australiana sono state seguite da: “Il primo principio guida di Google in realtà non è il denaro – il primo principio guida di Google è capire che Internet sta cambiando il mondo“.
