La cosa che tutti di sicuro sanno è che accedendo al proprio account gMail, si viene immediatamente trasportati nella possibilità di usufruire del nuovo social network di Goolgle: Buzz. Ma vediamo in dettaglio questo nuovo motore sociale a cosa ambisce per le sue evoluzioni e quelle del gruppo Google.

 
In molti hanno parlato di “twitterizzazione di e-mail”, ma l’idea di trasformare il tutto in una serie di aggiornamenti di stato non è proprio quello a cui punta Google. L’integrazione dei servizi offerti da BigG, a partire dalla posta elettronica, passando per Picasa ed il condividere di immagini ed arrivando a YouTube per condividere i video, già fanno capire che i ragazzi di Mountain View, sono interessati a fare qualcosa in più oltre allo status.

 
Il nuovo servizio, sarebbe partito come una sorta di estensione del già noto Google Wave (che ad oggi lasciava ancora in molti la domanda: a che serve?), ed è integrato direttamente nella propria posta elettronica.

 
Una volta accettato di accedere a questo servizio, già sarà possibile rinvigorire la propria rete di amicizie basandosi sui contatti di posta elettronica che sono nella nostra rubrica del client di posta. Inoltre, è possibile “seguire” gli aggiornamenti dei nostri contatti in una sorta di flusso automatico.

 
La logica di Buzz è quindi proprio quella del social network, che permette agli utenti di seguirsi e di rimanere in contatto in maniera molto più rapida rispetto all’utilizzo delle e-mail vere e proprie. L’idea è quella (come per gli altri portali di social network) del communications and conversation everywhere. Ad oggi la piattaforma è disponibile su PC, ma a breve verrà presentata una versione per smartphone che interfacciata con Google Maps, permetterà una serie di nuove funzioni legate al geotagging ed alla georeferenzialità.

Che Google diventerà ancora più potente nell’ambito web fino a superare Facebook? Queste sono sicuramente le sue aspettative.

I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
