Se dico “pubblicità su FarmVille” cosa vi viene in mente? Banner e pop up su Facebook? Niente di più sbagliato, perché ora la pubblicità si fa nel supermarket sotto casa, e FarmVille la trovate al banco di frutta e verdura. La nuova strategia promozionale nasce in America dall’accordo tra Zynga e gli specialisti della verdura in scatola “Gigante Verde”, negli Stati Uniti noto come Green Giant. Sui prodotti ortofrutticoli dell’azienda è ora presente uno sticker adesivo che regala 5 FarmVille Cash (la moneta di FarmVille) a chi acquista uno dei prodotti con il marchio Gigante Verde.

La promozione riguarda 25 prodotti diversi distribuiti in oltre 4000 supermercati e centri commerciali americani, ed è una ulteriore dimostrazione di quanto FarmVille sia popolare tra tutti i giochi Facebook.

Farmville oggi conta 65 milioni di utenti in totale, e 20 milioni di utenti assidui che si collegano a Facebook ogni giorno per giocare. Davanti a un successo così grande, non ci stupisce che dal social network di Mark Zuckerberg, FarmVille abbia cominciato ad espandere il suo “territorio” fino ad entrare nei negozi di alimentari più famosi degli States.

Questo tipo di pubblicità bidirezionale che promuove sia il gioco, sia i prodotti Gigante Verd, sembra funzionare bene in America, dove finora sono stati regalati più di 100.000 FarmVille Cash. Ma il gioco è molto popolare anche qui in Italia. Dovremo aspettarci anche noi una pioggia di bonus cash?
