Facebook vieta la conversione dei gruppi in pagine

Facebook sta apportando sostanziali modifiche alla sua politica business, e in particolare alle Facebook Pages. Se prima era consentito convertire i gruppi Facebook in Pagine fan, con il conseguente spostamento degli iscritti dall’uno all’altro, ora questo non sarà più possibile. Infatti gli amministratori dei gruppi interessati a questa trasformazione stanno ricevendo il seguente messaggio:

We’re no longer able to convert Facebook Groups into Pages. You’re welcome to create a Page and notify your Group members that you’ll be using the Page instead of the Group going forward. If your Group has too many members to send them a message, we unfortunately aren’t able to provide you with any other solutions for how you might contact them about this change.

Questo significa che si potrà inviare un messaggio ai membri del gruppo nel quale li si invita ad iscriversi alla pagina in questione, ma il passaggio non avverrà più in maniera automatica.

In questo modo, sembra che Facebook voglia spingere le imprese e i grandi marchi ad aprire nuove pagine pubbliche, lasciando ai gruppi una gestione più “amatoriale” come quella di raccogliere più persone attorno a un determinato argomento, che può essere di natura politica, sportiva, e così via.
