Facebook timeline: gli aggiornamenti diventano pubblici

In questi giorni Facebook ha annunciato che grazie i nuovi cambiamenti gli utenti potranno rendere pubblici i loro aggiornamenti. Non si ha ancora una data precisa. Ciò che si sa è che sarà possibile. Ma a che cosa servirebbe tutto ciò? Per comunicare meglio? Per rendersi più “Social”? Niente di tutto questo. Gli unici a trarre profitto da tale cambiamento sarebbero gli sviluppatori di applicazioni, commercianti, ricercatori, ecc che avrebbero accesso ad un’enorme banca di dati. Conoscere le preferenze della gente oggi giorno è molto importante per le grandi aziende, come del resto lo è sempre stato, anche se mai in una maniera così imponente.

Solo chi vorrà potrà rendere pubblici i propri aggiornamenti, per lo meno è ciò che si dice adesso, ma chissà se in un futuro non troppo remoto tutti gli utenti Facebook saranno costretti a farlo? Zuckerberg sfrutterà la sua imponente banca dati, dei nostri dati, per far soldi? Ovviamente l’accesso a queste informazioni non sarà gratis. Non credete? Ecco come commenta in riguardo a questa questione:

As this happens, people will no longer come to Facebook to consume a particular piece or type of content, but to consume and participate in the stream itself.

Dato che le persone condividono di più, la timeline viene riempita di più e più con ciò che sta accadendo con tutto quello a cui siete connessi. Il ritmo degli aggiornamenti accelera. Questo crea un flusso continuo di informazioni che fornisce una più profonda comprensione per tutti coloro che partecipano. Come questo accade, la gente viene più su Facebook per consumare un pezzo particolare, o un tipo di contenuto, ma a consumare e partecipare al flusso stesso.

  14. Hey, I think your blog might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your blog site in Chrome, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, great blog!
