Facebook continua a “carpire” preziose funzionalità dagli altri social network integrandole a se, per rendere sempre più completo il suo rapporto con gli utenti. Dopo infatti aver lanciato negli Stati Uniti d’America il servizio Facebook Places sulla falsa riga di FourSquare, per riuscire ad integrare le funzionalità di geolocalizzazione e l’uso del GPS nel social network, ora aggiunge una nuova funzionalità.

Sulla falsa riga di Twitter, negli ultimi giorni su alcuni profili di utenti americani, infatti, sotto l’immagine del profilo è comparsa la dicitura “Segui questo utente“, proprio come per Twitter, funzionalità che da la possibilità di poter visualizzare note, foto, commenti ed aggiornamenti, anche senza una reale richiesta di amicizia.

Questa funzione, sembrerebbe essere stata utilizzata per concentrare virtualmente gli aggiornamenti di alcuni utenti con cui non is ha un filo diretto. Attraverso questa funzione, però, Facebook va di nuovo a mettersi in una diatriba legata alla privacy. Questo perchè, con una semplice mossa “da click”, ci si può “impicciare” dei fatti altrui, senza pensare di avere accettazione da parte dell’utente interessato.
Si spera che a breve venga anche fatta una modifica nelle impostazioni della privacy del social network, per permettere l’abilitazione e la disabilitazione di questa funzionalità.
