Facebook ormai fa di tutto. E’ nato un nuovo gruppo sul social network più utilizzato al mondo, che permette infatti a tutti i propri iscritti di ritrovare le foto perdute in viaggio o altrove. Infatti, chiunque abbia perso la propria macchina fotografica durante un viaggio, o in un qualsiasi posto ed ha perso ogni speranza di ritrovare le proprie immagini – ricordo, può sperare ancora nel gruppo di Needle in a haystack.

La macchina fotografica ovviamente nel peggiore dei casi (ma è quasi sempre così), non verrà recuperata, anche perchè chi passa le fotografie on line, molto spesso non riporta mai di aver “trovato la macchina digitale”, bensì solo di averle trovate in rete, ma quello che interessa realmente agli utenti è di solito il contenuto dei ricordi.

Il gruppo di Facebook fondato il 17 Ottobre 2009 su Big F, ha raggiunto una quota interessante di 255 mila iscritti in meno di un mese. Ma come nasce il gruppo? L’idea è di un turista australiano di nome Danny Cameron, che nella sua vacanza fatta sull’isola di Mykonos in Grecia, ha “sbadatamente” perduto la sua macchinetta digitale con tutti i ricordi di quei giorni.

Non sapendo a cosa appigliarsi, ha deciso di mettere le sue ansie su Facebook con la speranza che qualche anima pia riuscisse a ritrovare tutte le sue foto o almeno in parte, magari un greco, magari che ha trovato la macchina fotografica e magari che è pure un po’ curioso al punto da sbirciare le foto contenute.

La sua ricerca ha avuto esito positivo perchè le foto sono state trovate tramite amici di amici di amici, da Pierre Paoli, Edouard Hostein e Julien Kopp che avevano dichiarato su Facebook: “Siamo stati in vacanza e la nostra amica Marie Cecile ha perso la macchina fotografica”.
