Facebook raggiungerà i 5 miliardi di utenti entro il 2030?

Nel corso delle ultime ore Mark Zuckerberg, il CEO di Facebok, ha annunciato di voler raggiungere un importante quanto ambizioso traguardo per il social network numero uno al mondo ovvero quello dei 5 miliardi di utenti entro il 20130.

Immagine che mostra il logo di FacebookIl magnate delle comunicazioni si sarebbe infatti lasciato andare a questa dichiarazione nel corso di un evento tenutosi di recente nei nuovi uffici di Facebook. Stando a quanto reso noto Mark Zuckerberg avrebbe affermato “Vogliamo finire per collegare tutti, arriveremo a questo traguardo collaborando con i governi e con le diverse società presenti in tutto il mondo“.

Detta in altri termini entro la data in oggetto Facebook dovrebbe riuscire a collegare circa il 60% di tutti gli abitanti del mondo considerano che per il 20130 si stima che la popolazione mondiale raggiunga gli 8,5 miliardi di persone.

Allo stato attuale delle cose Facebook può contare su oltre 1,6 miliardi di iscritti. Tenendo conto di tale dato pur essendo quello prefissato dal CEO di Facebook un obiettivo decisamente ambizioso il social network dovrebbe avere tutto il tempo di riuscire a triplicare la quantità di utenti.

A dare un fondamentale aiuto in tal senso ci sarebbe il progetto Internet.org, di cui si discute a più riprese già da diverso tempo a questa parte e che punta ad aiutare le popolazione dei paesi emergenti a connettersi alla rete ed ad utilizzare servizi digitali proprio come Facebook. Infatti, i paesi emergenti sono quelli con la più alta densità abitativa. Del resto, uno degli obiettivi principali di Facebook è sempre stato quello di puntare a voler connettere tutto il mondo.
