Facebook Places è pericoloso?

Si direbbe proprio che postare la propria posizione geografica in ogni momento attraverso Facebook Places, non sia una delle mosse più felici che si possano fare per alcune ragioni che andiamo a vedere insieme. Sicuramente, il “diritto a menzognare“, quello che viene a mancare non appena rendiamo pubblica la nostra postazione. Quante volte capita di dire per lavoro o altro che siamo altrove?

Pubblicando su Facebook Places le proprie postazioni, seppur quel qualcuno a cui si è mentito non è nostro amico, si potrebbe comunque trovare a colloquiare con i nostri amici (senza saperlo) e parlare di noi, scoprendo dove siamo. Facebook Places, quindi, primo nemico della privacy, forse più di tutte le altre pecche di Facebook.

Oltre a questo, Places risulta essere un pericolo (secondo fonti della Polizia di Stato) per i propri beni materiali ed immateriali, dando la possibilità a chi è malintenzionato di fare cose poche positive. L’ultimo esempio ne è dato da un fatto di cronaca avvenuto negli Stati Uniti d’America, dove la polizia ha arrestato tre uomini che seguendo alcuni utenti di Facebook si erano già fatti colpevoli di alcune rapine con scasso ai danni degli interessati.
L’incidente che potrebbe avvenire in essere è proprio quello che si basa sulla fattibilità della perdita di alcuni dati sensibili. Proprio per conoscere i rischi di queste comunicazioni è nato un sito che si chiama Please Rob Me (Per favore, rapinami) che spiega in modo sarcasico alcuni rischi sulla privacy e su Facebook Places.
