Fin dalla data del rilascio, l’applicazione Facebook per Blackberry non ha mai funzionato, tanto da conquistare il titolo della peggiore applicazione per Facebook mai immessa sul mercato. Il motivo? Il feed delle notizie non si aggiornava, e spesso non si riusciva neppure a connettersi al network. Ma quello degli aggiornamenti di stato non era l’unico problema, perchè all’applicazione per Blackberry mancava il supporto video.

Insomma, gli utenti non riuscivano a visualizzare i video di YouTube incorporati nello stream o nella bacheca degli amici. Ulteriore disagio era creato dai tempi di caricamento troppo lenti, e fastidiosi per chi è abituato a navigare in maniera spedita e veloce. Ma la cosa che più ha stupito il pubblico, è che la rubrica del Blackberry non è sincronizzata con quella dei contatti Facebook. Adesso però le cose sembrano finalmente migliorare.

Dopo l’ultimo crash di questa app, verificatosi lo scorso mercoledì, e che di fatto ha reso impossibile la connessione, la comunità Blackberry presente su Facebook si è fatta sentire, e il social network ha subito diramato un breve comunicato con la seguente dichiarazione:

Mercoledì abbiamo avuto problemi con le API, e, di conseguenza, alcuni utenti non erano in grado di accedere al sito dai loro dispositivi. La questione è stata risolta rapidamente e gli utenti sono ormai in grado di accedere a Facebook da tutti i dispositivi mobili con stabilità e continuità.

Dunque un problema è stato risolto. Quello del supporto video invece no.
