Obama, come tutti ben sanno, per la sua propaganda politica dell’anno scorso ha utilizzato molti strumenti mediatici tra cui: televisione, radio, internet e lo stesso Facebook, uno dei più importanti social network al mondo. Si è modernizzato in tutti i sensi ed è riuscito a raccogliere ampi consensi da molte persone. La stessa strategia non è però stata presa in considerazione dal Partito Repubblicano, il quale non ha avuto la stessa visione e rivelazione di Obama sulle capacità di Facebook. A confermare questo sono le parole di Randi Zuckerberg, facebook manager per le attività sociali e politiche nella community, la quale ha detto che durante le candidature, Obama sorprendeva la società con le sue continue idee innovative, idee che furono proposte dalla società anche al concorrente McCain, ma i repubblicani non le presero in considerazione.

Ecco qui cosa ha affermato:

Abbiamo cercato di offrire la stessa cosa a entrambe le parti. Ci sono stati momenti in cui la campagna di Obama veniva da noi con incredibili idee e abbiamo detto loro che, anche se queste erano soltanto proposte, le avremmo comunicate ed offerte anche alla campagna di McCain. Tuttavia, la campagna di McCain non ci ha preso molto in considerazione.

La campagna di Obama è stata per lo più una società di tecnologia. Erano davvero rapidi ad adottare un sacco di cose. In realtà erano loro che ci proponevano idee che nemmeno a noi venivano in mente. Siamo stati veramente concentrati sulla costruzione di strumenti politici mediatici per qualsiasi uso, locali o nazionali, e la campagna di Obama aveva veramente tremende idee per sfruttare la diffusione virale di informazioni.
Che ne dite? Non ha Facebook aiutato Obama a farsi più propaganda politica? Forse il senatore ed attuale Presidente degli Stai Uniti lo ha potuto fare per la sua mentalità aperta e spirito giovanile che senz’altro McCain poteva non avere.
